Teaching English in Thailand 

  Taught English as a Second Language (ESL) to students of various comprehension levels in diverse subjects: English, Communication, Civics, Geography, and Economics. This semester-long teaching experience in rural Thailand presented an opportunity to impact young minds and expand their knowledge in the English language.


Students

Civics Class

Project: Small groups of students created their own countries while applying topics they had learned throughout the semester. They devised their own names, flags, governments, constitutions, rules, and regulations.

Classes

  • 7 classes encompassing over 100 students; each class holding 15+ students

  • Middle school to high school; ages 10 to 15

Experience

  • Created weekly objective guidelines and daily lesson plans.

  • Developed all class materials: quizzes, activities, handouts, mid-term and final exams, as well as assessments for student evaluation.

  • Designed and implemented the first systemic curriculum in English that ultimately brought students to their expected knowledge areas.
